An alert has been issued by police on Long Island who allegedly stole merchandise from an area Walmart.

Suffolk County Police investigators are attempting to locate a man who allegedly walked into Walmart on Middle Country Road in Middle Island at approximately 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, and walked out with boots and paper towels without paying.

In total, the stolen items had an estimated value of approximately $115, police said.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or shoplifting incident has been asked to submit an anonymous tip online or to call Suffolk County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
